A January Problem
What's something on today's to-do list that you can postpone till January?
Almost everyone I talk to is scrambling to "finish up" a few last things before the end of the year. Many of us have work-related deadlines; most of us have parties and meals and family occasions that demand more than the usual amount of time and energy. We're wrapping gifts and sending emails and (possibly) cleaning the baseboards for the first time since last December.
So I was delighted to stumble upon a LinkedIn post suggesting a very different approach: "That's a January problem, not a December problem." Such a gentle but clear reminder that some of the deadlines we're racing toward just might not be as critical as they feel. And a few of them might even be delay-able!
I hope your life is full of good things just now. And I hope there are a few things on your list (even good things!) that you might be able to postpone, giving you space to enjoy this December with a little more freedom.
