What does your name mean to you?

I just came across some surprising research about the correlation between people's names and their chosen career paths. How weird is it that there are a disproportionate number of pediatricians with names like Boys, Gal, Child, Kinder?!

As the Big Think journalist describes it, this is an instance of  '“implicit egotism,”--the unconscious urge we have to do things that are familiar or similar to us in some way.'  Names have been shown to correlate with career paths and even where people choose to live!

Which got me to wondering -- what's your relationship to your name? What does your name mean, and how might it have shaped you?!
